Oct 7, 2020

GCAD's Contribution to Understanding Economic Incentives in Georgia's Agricultural Sector

FAO study has recently been finalized on "Quantitative agricultural policy monitoring in eight post-Soviet countries".

In order to develop a better understanding of how national agricultural policies incentivize or disincentivize economic activities in the agricultural sector, FAO conducted a study on measuring quantitative policy indicators in collaboration with the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia and national researchers. The countries involved are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

GCAD successfully carried out the project and is participating in the online workshop as a local researcher partner to present the preliminary results for Georgia.
