Large-Scale Trainings for the GEOSTAT Field Personnel for Enhanced Agricultural Surveys

Jan 20, 2023

Strengthening Methodology and Collaboration for Enhanced Accuracy in Georgia's Agricultural Statistics

Supported financially by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and coordinated by the Fund GCAD, this rigorous program targets 260 field personnel engaged in agricultural research, including interviewers and coordinators. These experts play a pivotal role in the Agricultural Survey, which stands as the primary source of official agricultural statistics.

The training, running from November 28 to December 8, aims to bolster the proficiency of interviewers and coordinators in survey methodology, questionnaires, and modern data collection techniques. Representatives from the USDA will also enrich the sessions by sharing their American experience in data collection and fieldwork coordination. This collaborative effort is poised to enhance the accuracy and depth of agricultural data collection in Georgia.
